iFlix launches offline streaming on iOS and Android

iFlix, a relatively new video streaming service which launched their network in Malaysia earlier this year is releasing probably the most requested feature. Without any extra charges, iFlix now allow users to download video content for offline viewing but there are restrictions with this new feature. One of them is that you can only have up to 10 downloaded videos at any given time but you do get to choose the video quality to download so you don't overfill your 16GB iPhone 6S.

In addition to that, the downloaded content can only be stored on your device for only 7 days and that number goes down to only 48 hours once you have viewed the video. Another caveat is that this feature is currently only available for Android and iOS but the company says that they are working towards a launch of an offline viewing feature on their desktop application in early 2016.

Just so you know, iFlix costs RM 8 a month and beyond the offline streaming, you can also take advantage of the massive library of up-to-date TV content. There is a free 30-day trial if you want to give it a shot. Try iFlix today at www.iflix.com

Singapore's Apple Store to to be fully operated on Solar energy

Last week Apple's job postings confirmed the arrival of Southeast Asia's first Apple Store in Singapore which is slated to open in late 2016. The 15,000 sq ft Apple Store will be located at Knightsbridge mall in Orchard Road and will also be 100% powered by renewable energy according to statement released yesterday.

Apple has striked a deal with local developer Sunseap Group which will get the proper funding to complete their solar projects and thus provide clean renewable energy powered by the sunny weather for all of it's operations in Singapore. With a combination of rooftop solar panels placed on public and Apple owned facilities, the array of solar panels across Singapore is capable of generating up to 50MW of solar energy which is equivalent of powering 9,000 homes.

This deal with Sunseap Group also makes Apple the very first company to be operating fully through renewable energy and continues Apple's roadmap to becoming an environmental friendly company. Maybe Apple's next step is to open an Apple Store in Kuala Lumpur? Apple probably has to start looking for a Solar Energy company.
